General questions about the game

Blankos Block Party is a free-to-play MMO developed by Mythical Games and Third Kind Games. It is set in a vibrant online world styled like a giant block party, with a focus on custom art and design, world-building and exploration, and collecting unique Blankos.

User created minigames are called Block Parties. These can be played with a group of other players in game and thus it’s a party!

Blankos Block Party is currently in Open Beta as of December 10th. The official launch of the game is still unknown, however is expected to be in 2021.

Head to the official Blankos Block Party website where Open Beta is live and everyone can play (provided your pc has windows and you meet the minimum specs).

On the official Blankos Block Party website, there is a large download button on the top of the page where you can download the client.

Yes, Blankos Block Party is free to play, with the option for purchasable in-game cosmetics, accessories, and limited edition Blankos.

The initial access for Beta testing will be focused on English-speaking countries including North America, UK, New Zealand, Australia and Canada. The game will later be available in most countries and in several different languages – complete list to be confirmed closer to launch.

Blockchain is a revolutionary new tech which develops a trusted decentralized ledger to allow proof of ownership over the internet. What this means is that the things you earn and buy in Blankos are yours to own like your own digital toy. Blankos utilizes blockchain technology to give players proof of verified ownership and transaction history – simply put, this means more control for players over the things they buy! I know this is still a bit confusing but it will be explained in more detail later and what it means for owning Blankos in a future official announcement from the Blankos Block Party team.

Blankos Junction has a number of resources to help. Check out our Guides, Tips & Tricks Section.

Check out the Gigs section of the menu. Deejus does a good job of running you through the various quests and shows you where to find the various NPCs.

Gameplay and Parties

Currently Blankos features shooting, racing, and collection game styles. The Blankos Block Party team will continue to add new building items, toys, and accessories to let you build crazy, fun and innovative new parties. Read more about the building game mode here.

Nope, not a single line of code is needed! You simply build a Party, design and build out your parties, drop basic building blocks, interactives and decorations into it, and then configure what the rules of the game play are. Everything can be done with a game controller or mouse/keyboard and the game takes care of the rest! It’s all up to you.

Yes! More info on this later but there will be rewards and unlocks for players that build awesome and popular Parties.

Parties can be created as multi-player or single-player. Blankos love Parties with other Blankos, but single-players who want to fly solo can also explore, collect, and complete challenges in The Junction. The ‘Trial’ games inside the Party Bus are dedicated to single player.

Blankos are fun and mischievous collectible digital vinyl toys brought to life. Inhabiting The Junction, their own offbeat world, they love good vibes and good times!

No, Blankos are digital in-game only. The ownership aspect means players can buy limited edition Blankos that are verifiable proof-of-ownership via blockchain. Players could sell these digitial Blankos to other players in the future.

Blankos love accessories. Not only can you get different Blankos for your squad but you can trick them out with cool gear. Explore the various accessories here.

Yes, you will be able to choose abilities and level up your Blankos as you play and build. For more information about styles, perks and abilities, see this article.

Currently, Blankos were either created by the in-house Mythical Games Team, or through partnerships with ultra-talented vinyl toy artists. For now, you’ll be able to express yourself by customizing your Blankos with a wide variety of accessories and attachments!

Buy. Sell. Collect

Currently the only way to get a Blanko, accessories and items is by buying them via the in-game store. This is the primary marketplace where these can be purchased using Blanko Bucks (in-game currency which you can purchase with $USD or similar) or Moola (Currency you can earn in game).

When the official game launches it is expected that an official secondary marketplace will be in place which will allow purchasing of Blankos and the associated accessories/items directly from other users in a secure trusted manner (using Blockchain technology).

It has been mentioned in interviews that players will get rewarded if they create amazing Block Parties in game however not much information is available on this currently.

Another method of getting these is through exclusive events or for special promotions. These can be in the form of a physical cards that may be given out. An example include the Blankos cards that were handed out at SXSW in March 2019. These cards may also contain a special QR code that is used to redeem the Blanko on your Mythical account. Anyone who has access to the QR code on the Blanko card can redeem it, we highly recommend that you do not share this QR code as they could take your Blanko.

Once exclusive Blankos cards are given out, the only way to redeem the Blanko is in the game. Once redeemed in game, players can then choose to sell their Blanko on the official Marketplace when it is live. Please be aware that a Blanko card bought or sold outside of the game or official marketplace is outside of Mythical Games control and can potentially be a high risk for fraud or scams. Mythical Games does not officially authorize or provide any marketplace for buying or selling the physical cards, so to ensure a secure purchase, only buy and sell redeemed Blankos on our official store or marketplace

Secondary Marketplace testing will be rolling out within the next few months (from Oct 2020), with the goal of having it readily available Spring 2021. (Northern Hemisphere Spring)

When you purchase a Blanko, an issue number is assigned to your Blanko, just like in other collectibles like trading cards. This issue number is your verified serial number that shows your place in line when buying your Blanko. The earlier you purchased, the lower the number.

The issue number for Blankos purchased will be displayed prior to opening the box in the details page. Click on the boxed Blanko in your Shelf and the issue number will be displayed with more details about your Blanko. You can keep a Blanko boxed, or unbox it to play with it. If you unbox it, you will lose the box forever. Just like the real world, others may value boxed Blankos over unboxed, but that is your decision to make. And as development advances, there may be future benefits to keeping your Blankos unboxed or boxed, so you will need to make a choice.

NFTs & Blockchain

Here’s a quick (brief) elevator pitch. Hopefully it’s not too confusing. In simple terms, Blockchain is a universal public list or ledger of information (called Blocks) which is shared across many computers. This ledger must be identical on each computer that it is shared across. If someone wanted to add information to the ledger, it must update the ledger and let all the computers know. The group of computers work together to validate the update. Once verified, all of the lists are updated to capture this change and the updated information (the block) along with that person’s identity is added to the ledger (the chain). Note that in this case, that person’s identity is a series of numbers. The ledger can be continually added onto but cannot be altered.

You may be hearing the abbreviation NFT being thrown around. NFT stands for Non-fungible token. It’s a type of cryptographic token which represents something unique such as art or collectibles and in the case of Blankos Block Party, it is assumed that all Blankos and accessories will be NFTs. The NFTs are tied to a blockchain which keeps a global trusted register of who owns which asset and verifies their identity.

NFTs allow for verifiable digital scarcity as well as digital ownership and also cross platform accessibility. In other non-blockchain related games, the developer would own the asset and thus if they were to close their server or your account was banned, that asset would be gone. This also meant that you were unable to sell the asset unless the developer allowed you to do so and thus you did not actually own the asset, the developer did.

With NFTs, you own the asset and thus you are able to trade it on a secondary marketplace without permission from the game developer. This also prevents duplicates as each NFT is unique with its own associated serial number.

Blankos Block Party is expected to be using a token standard of their own creation called dGoods which was developed by Mythical Games. dGoods is an open source and free standard for handling the virtual representation of items, both digital and physical, on the EOS blockchain led by Mythical Games. It is aimed at providing ownership and liquidity of digital goods on blockchain. dGoods is compatible across a growing number of blockchains with functionality that allows teams to easily create rich digital item economies.
At the moment is it expected that for Blankos Block Party, the dGoods standard will be tied to the EOS main chain. For more information on dGoods, visit

In interviews, Mythical Games said that for the time being they are the custodians of the private keys etc for your Blankos to try to assist the onboarding process and bring on mainstream adoption but later on you shall have access to those keys and then you will be free to sell on secondary market. The secondary market will not be available yet until after the game is launched. Blankos Block Party is focused on being a AAA game with blockchain integration, rather than a full blockchain game.

Blankos NFTs will be stored on a Private EOS Blockchain to begin with as Mythical Games scale up the game. In parallel, they are working on ways to connect to public chains after launch to allow players to use their own wallets and private keys to store their Blankos NFTs.
